Our wedding day went without any hiccups, with everything running on time. Sharan and the team had everything in control from the décor to food to the order of the day. We booked Sharan from Black Velvet Events for our wedding in May 2016. We were thrilled with the service provided, as it was professional whilst still maintaining a personal touch.

Sharan was booked for our pre-wedding party and our main wedding day. Months before the events Sharan was confirming details with various different companies. We had numerous meetings with Sharan as she wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. We realised that we had forgotten about the wedding car, Sharan immediately went to work looking a specific car and provided us with 3 competitive quotes. A week before Sharan confirmed all of the fine details ensuring we knew what to expect for the day. Sharan’s performance on both days was of the highest standard and took a lot of pressure off of the immediate family, allowing them to fully enjoy themselves.

Ever tried to plan 2 weddings in 6 months? Let me tell you it was a challenge but through the help of Sharan the process was made much easier. Sharan was able to recommend vendors, especially when finding the venue at such short late notice. Her experience and relationships with key industry contacts helped to alleviate stress throughout the planning process.  Her support on the day was invaluable, not only ensuring things ran smoothly but making sure everyone knew what they were doing. The first time we met Sharan was at a wedding show in Birmingham. Having just started planning our wedding she was insightful and incredibly enthusiastic about Black Velvet Events and what they have to offer. The conversation with Sharan left us both feeling excited and relieved that we had met someone who knows exactly what she is talking about when it comes to the Asian Wedding Industry.
Sharan assisted throughout our wedding preparations, dealing with all suppliers, she was the point of contact and liaison- her assistance and knowledge was invaluable.
Towards the lead up to the wedding a few suppliers were difficult to deal with, but Sharan took matters into her own hands, did the chasing, liaising and finalising. We had a number of telephone and face to face meetings with Sharan and she was so helpful and incredibly approachable. No question was stupid or too much for her to deal with.
On the wedding day itself, Sharan had prepared a strict itinerary which was circulated to suppliers – when things went wrong Sharan and her team were there to put them right. As the bride and groom we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our families were also able to enjoy the day and not worry about things.
Sharan really looked after us, you only get married once and Sharan definitely played a huge role in making our dream wedding a reality. We would highly recommend Black Velvet to anyone planning a wedding – you will not regret it !
